Affinity Studio - Hatch Pattern Tutorial and Review
A review of the new Hatch Pattern feature in Canva's Affinity Studio v3. I will go into great detail explaining the Hatch Pattern Panel, how all of the various settings work. Shift, Spacing, Rotation, X and Y Values, Justify to Document, Bake Appearance, all of these will be covered and along the way you will learn how to make your own patterns. I will show some best practices that work for me, like rules of 10, being consistent with units of measurement and other tidbits. I will also show an alternative to the way Hatch Patterns are stored in the Swatches by way of using the Asset Panel instead. I also have some Hatch Panel Ideas/improvements that I would like to see implemented.
