Mordhau Messer Full Match Gameplay | The Longest One-Handed Sword (alt mode)
Today's Mordhau Gameplay video features my Threes Messer build. I showcase my Messer build right at the start of the video.
The Messer, as the thumbnail reveals, has the longest reach for a one-handed sword in Mordhau. The Messer's alt mode switches the sword to a single-handed grip. Moving from the two-handed grip to the one-handed grip does not affect the overall reach of the weapon. It remains at 98cm for both grips.
Let's compare the Messer to its most similar counterpart, the Ba*d Sword. I have to censor it because YT doesn't like the naughty words. For the sake of clarity: *="star". Both swords' alt modes shift it from two- to one-handed grips. The Messer's reach is 98cm for both grips; the Ba*d Sword remains at 90cm for both grips. That's the closest the Messer gets for competition, as far as length goes.
Obviously, as a two-handed sword, the Messer isn't the longest sword by a long (no pun intended) shot. The Zweihander knocks it out of the park at 135cm (45cm longer!)
