After a rubber farmer scrapes a circle of bark off the rubber tree with a knife, a white liquid drips directly into a container. After 20 days of repeated cutting, the farmer pours the rubber latex into a bucket and sends it to a nearby factory. There, formic acid is added to thicken it. The hardened rubber block contains many air bubbles, so it needs to be compressed in a press to make it smooth and straight. During the drying process, the rubber gradually turns yellow due to oxidation.
