The Westin Grand Berlin 🏛 (formerly: Grand Hotel Berlin) is a hotel completed in 1987 during the GDR era, which was operated at the time by the Interhotel chain. 🛎
The hotel belonged to The Leading Hotels of the World in the early 1990s and to Maritim Hotels from 1992 to 1997. 🏨 Currently, the hotel is operated by Westin Hotels & Resorts.

It was inaugurated on August 1, 1987, by the then Chairman of the State Council, Erich Honecker. 👨🦳 The Westin Grand 🛌 has 359 rooms and suites.
Only foreign guests were admitted; accepted currencies included the West German Deutsche Mark (D-Mark). 💵 The currency of the GDR was not accepted.
The hotel 🛎 served as a filming location for the following productions, among others: 🎬

One of a Kind (TV series, 2009/2010)
