emoji's in Mavericks
Emoji’s hidden in your Macintosh – While working on a project, from time to time hiding the Doc can be convenient.
One day I accidently pressed Control + Command + Spacebar, then to my surprise the Emoji and symbol menu appeared.
This hidden feature works in mail, any text editor or software such as Xcode and SublimeText. Since Microsoft Word has their own symbol menu it won’t work in Word.
