Sometimes you want to create a symbolic link to a network drive to save the hassle of clicking into a nested sub folder. To do that:
1. Go to your qfinder console, choose a folder and enable access
2. Assign a fixed IP address to your NAS server (you should have plenty of IP addresses--200+--under your home network, which is assigned dynamic IP by your ISP (e.g. Comcast)
3. Depending on your Linux distro, allow users to mount and unmount
4. Edit /etc/fstab file by adding one line of code
Now you can use that mounted directory as if it were a local drive. You can create symbolic links to any of its sub directories, eliminating the hassle of clicking into deeply-nested directories.
