MANOID: Forests (Official Video)

I directed the video myself. It was shot in an area of Poland’s big natural disaster that took place in summer 2017. A huge storm struck the Northern part of the country with winds that reached over 150 km/h and destroyed over 30 mln trees on 10 thousand hectares. The true tragedy however was the death of two scouts that were camping in the forest during the tempest.
I’d rather not tell you why I chose this place. My track doesn’t include lirycs and I’d prefer the sounds and the images to speak for themselves and leave some space for interpretation.
The dancer in the video is Paulina Jaksim - graduate of the Roman Turczynowicz Ballet School in Warsaw and University of Arts in Rotterdam. She also takes part in the Hashimotowiksa project which merges dance with electronic music. It recently performed at the renowned Tauron Festival Nowa Muzyka in Katowice.
