In episode 4 of 3D Printing with the Monoprice Maker Select V2 we are going print our first benchmark print and install our first mod. The 3D benchy is one of the most important benchmark prints available. It’s a challenging model that will show even subtle issues the 3D printing process.
The first mod we are installing is probably one of the most important for this type of printer. The Z-asix gantry brace is a support structure that will keep the top part of the gantry from moving around and vibrating as it does out of the box.
All you need are a few printed pieces and some hardware you can find at home improvement store. Of you can buy a completed hardware kit on the ultimate3dprintingstore.com website. Get the hardware print the pieces and follow my step by step guide to installing it.
