Import (and export!) your bill of materials
AEC teams build bills of materials in Excel every day, handed off between estimators, structural engineers, and interior designers. Getting that into a carbon model used to mean manual entry, and doing it again every time quantities changed. C.Scale now supports exporting and importing BoMs.
Now you can:
Export your takeoffs to Excel. Download the full inventory of materials and assemblies from the Inventory view, or a single category from a detailed editor.
Edit offline. Adjust quantities, add rows, and update your BoM in Excel — no working in the app required.
Import using AI mapping. On upload, C.Scale's AI matches every row to the right C.Scale material, even names it hasn't seen before. Review the few it flags as low-confidence, or accept and move on.
Re-import without re-mapping. Change your quantities and upload again, and C.Scale remembers every mapping from last time — you never map the same material twice. A teammate's mappings carry over too.
