Aktogay breakthrough
Even during the development of the Virgin Lands, not much land in the Aktogay district was put into use for crop production. But new technologies of irrigated agriculture are changing everything. Already now, the Aktogay district is leading in Kazakhstan in terms of the growth rate of irrigated lands. We visited a farm where 2,000 hectares of land will soon be put into irrigation. A reservoir for collecting and storing water from the Irtysh is already in the final stage of construction. The first watering plant will be launched soon. The farm plans to grow not only sunflower, wheat, barley, but also potatoes. There is also a ready-made project for a dairy farm for 2,000 heads.
Thus, by revealing the potential of the land and the Irtysh, a new innovative and industrial agriculture of the Pavlodar region is being formed
