Steps to Stop (C) from Becoming the Copyright Symbol:
1. Go to Tools
Click on "Tools" in the menu.
2. Open Preferences
Select "Preferences" from the dropdown.
3. Uncheck Substitution
In the pop-up window, go to the "Substitution" tab.
Uncheck the option that converts (C) to the copyright symbol.
Click "OK" to save the changes.
4. Test the Change
Now, when you type (C), it will no longer change into the copyright symbol.
