I’ll take the attendees through a story of when I wanted to build an app on top of a public Big Data dataset of GitHub events.
It’s a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I use BigQuery to query for data and explain the pain points of querying it directly versus using caching and aggregations through the use of an analytical API server.
