The Canary System is a low power laser-based tool for the detection of early tooth decay. It reliably detects decay on any surface including interproximal, along the margins of restorations (amalgam and composite resins, beneath fissure sealants and around ortho brackets up to 5 mm beneath the tooth surface. It is based on PTR-LUM technology that uses both heat and light for the non-invasive detection and mapping of early carious lesions on all tooth surfaces. That means less exposure to dental X-RAYS and avoiding the dental drill!
