This is the first-person footage of the usual tranch warfare in Ukraine. Russian soldiars launched an attack. The distance from the stormtroopers to defenders is nearly 200 metres. Equipped with rifles, machine guns, grenade and rocket launchers, the troops defend their position and push the russians back.
Everyone at the position, even the combat medic, directly participates in the battle.
The outcome of the fight is favorable. The enemy stopped the offensive. All Ukrainian fighters are alive and uninjured.
The main goals of the Ukrainian units on the eastern front are incredibly difficult. The Ukrainian forces are under a lot of restrictions. These are the smaller number of forces and weapons, the dependence on international support and the limitation of actions due to the fact that Ukrainian civilians and prisoners are in the cities.
Therefore, the main goal is not to win back meters in force release. The main goal of the Ukrainian military in the east is to have geographically advantageous positions, to hold them in order to exhaust the enemy as much as possible, deprive them of equipment and bleed the attacking forces, at the same time having lower losses. The idea is that the russians, that will gradually lose its combat potential, will not be able to withstand such a large front line and will reduce the front, gradually giving up territory in steps of "goodwill".
