Friends and Community,
Today is the International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers. This year has been a long haul of sex worker advocacy and we are excited for what the future holds for our community. We are also thankful to have worked alongside @votelandry and we are excited to accomplish more next year.
WE MADE A VIDEO to share why the work that we do to decriminalize sex work is so important. We hope that you will sign on to support LA HB366, a Louisiana bill to decriminalize sex work! Show your support of LA HB366 at bit.ly/DecrimSW
Today we are also hosting an event for Louisiana sex workers & accomplices! Open to all to honor our siblings who have passed on to the Great Swamp Beyond, and for those of us alive still struggling with various forms of violence due to the stigma & criminalization of this work.
We will have a digital vigil, poetry shares, & a vital legislative campaign announcement towards a future with less violence against, & more autonomy & dignity for, sex workers in Louisiana.
Join us by registering at bit.ly/D17NOLA
Thank you to @urbanmatrixmag for video production and @astratesh for animation.
