A spontaneous protest has been ongoing in Ulan-Ude for two days. Residents have gathered in the city's main square for a peaceful protest. They disagree with the results of the mayoral election in the capital of Buryatia and the arrest of Yakut shaman Alexander Gabyshev. The peaceful gathering was dispersed by Rosgvardia officers, who attacked residents with axes and batons and detained several protesters. Among them were taxi driver and blogger Dmitry Bairov and Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) People's Khural deputy Bair Tsyrenov.
