A New Iceberg at Brunt (Image of the Week)
==An iceberg the size of Houston broke from the Brunt Ice Shelf Antarctica on January 22nd, 2023. Landsat images show the area one day before the break and several days after. A feature named Chasm One had been lengthening for years, and it finally reached all the way across the shelf. Landsat will continue to track the new iceberg, named A-81 as it floats into the Weddell Sea. USGS. Science for a changing world.
