Today I have a 4 way HDR Vs video on the Samsung Odyssey G7. HDR settings customized in Forza Horizon 4 HDR options menu and HDR options in Doom Eternal. Make sure to fix/change HDR settings in each game you want to play. Default settings in HDR is very dull and boring. Its really a trial and error to your liking. This is an HDR600 monitor so make sure your image is nice and contrasty. There should be picture punch but so you can still see important details in the overall image. HDR brightness, Color and/or HDR Color Saturation can greatly improve an HDR image.
Forza Horizon 4 - HDR (10% Margin of Error)
Its OK in my experience. I love Forza as its my favorite game but HDR is not the best here. But looking in the display settings it was good to show HDR 20, HDR 30 and HDR 40 in the video. Showing that if you do not fix/change it might look wrong. pls change to your liking and preference. It looks REALLY Nice and HDR 30 is my favorite... but SDR mode holds its own and I Prefer SDR... My Best results in Forza Horizon 4 - HDR Whitepoint 600 / HDR Brightness 30
Doom Eternal - HDR
This game has Amazing HDR settings. Super bright! Super Contrast! This is by far a better example of how HDR600 looks and the amount of options it gives you is awesome. Play this game in HDR... you won't regret it and may even forget SDR mode!!!
