Animation Test: Faux 3D Stroke Effect
Attempt to create the look of Trapcode's excellent 3D Stroke plugin using only native After Effects (namely, the type tool). I've already implemented a good percentage of the plugin's features, and this effect works with all sorts of fun things like depth of field and motion blur and lights. After a few tweaks I'm hoping to release as an .ffx or script.
