Thirty-six-year-old Kharkiv resident Darya Pravdik grew up in a teacher's family. Her mother has taught French at a school her entire life. Darya dreamed of becoming a teacher herself, but her relationship with her mother and the stigma of being a teacher's daughter got in the way. Even in school, Darya suffered from emotional and physical abuse in her family. She recalls how her mother forced her to live by the rules, both in and out of school. Otherwise, she simply made life unbearable. Irina Anatolyevna is no longer embarrassed by her own daughter. She says she's gotten used to her immoral behavior.
