1997 Honda CBR 900RR Ignition Switch Replacement -
So when I bought this bike it only had a single but really worn out key for the ignition and gas tank cap (the trunk lock was missing). Being worn so much that having extras made would not guarantee they’d work. After some time looking around I found a lock set on ebay that claimed to ‘fit’ my bike for around 25-30 bucks. I figured this wasn’t too bad of a deal for a cheap replacement and if it sucked I wasn’t out very much. After it arrived and when I was ready to install it I found some differences with the ignition switch wiring and trunk lock latch design. In this video I go over how I overcame the ignition switch differences and will address the trunk lock later.
