This video will show you how to install UE4SS for Palworld.

This guide assumes that anyone following it is using a fully functional, legal, up-to-date (December 26th, 2024), clean installation of Palworld. The guide should function for further updates, and probably past versions as well - but I cannot make any guarantees. The steps in the video still work as of March, 2026. See the note below for differences with the Latest Experimental version if you need that.

The first minute quickly demonstrates the installation while I'm introducing the idea. After that, I explain from the beginning. I recommend watching the whole video, but as long as you do EXACTLY what I did in the first minute, it should work.

Unzip to HERE:
........\Palworld\Pal\Binaries\Win64

^^^ \WinGDK instead of \Win64 for GAMEPASS version - otherwise identical.

_DO NOT_ install it in the \Engine\ subfolder. That will not work.

NOTE: *Some* people with some modding environments have run into issues with the 3.0.1 Stable version and the Experimental Latest works for them. It's the same process but they changed the file structure. Safest thing to do if you've installed prior version(s) and want to update is DELETE the Win64 (or WinGDK) folder (inside Palworld's files...) and verify integrity through Steam/Gamepass to redownload the base version, then install the new version of UE4SS into there. Remember, unzip the contents as they are into Win64; don't mess with the file structure inside the zipped folder.

Stable it's all loose, Latest Experimental everything except dwmapi.dll is inside a 'ue4ss' folder (dwmapi.dll is MANDATORY and MUST be in the win64/gdk folder alongside the ue4ss folder).

DO NOT create that folder on Stable, DO NOT remove that folder on Experimental.

Note 2: Some mods require a MemberVariablesLayout.ini file, as (potentially) does dumping some information using UE4SS. I am double checking, but as best I can tell literally it's just changing like 5 lines from the template (under the [UEnum] section) for 5.1 and calling it a day. There's other minor differences, but I suspect those are just because the Template has been updated with new information that never got transferred over to the Palworld versions of the files I've found (and used). I'm confirming since I'd rather not provide advice on how to update the template for your personal use without being 100% sure it'll work [and not just "It works for me" :P ]

Until I confirm that, if you need it just google the palworld version of the file and download it, then put it with your ue4ss files. I'd hope it would be linked with any mods that require it, but I don't know if that's the case.
