Hey friends, in today's short video I will show you exactly how to fix the frustrating issue where Google Chrome won't open, load, or just crashes immediately when you click it. Whether Chrome is stuck running in the background or dealing with a corrupted file, getting your browser back up and running is super easy.

The most common fix is completely shutting down stuck Chrome processes. To do this, press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open your Task Manager, right-click on any Google Chrome processes you see, and select "End task" before trying to open Chrome again. If it's still not opening, you can force the application file to reset itself. Just right-click the Chrome shortcut on your desktop, select "Open file location," right-click the Chrome application file (chrome.exe), and simply rename it to "chrome1.exe". If all else fails, open your Start menu, type "cmd," right-click Command Prompt and "Run as administrator," then type netsh winsock reset and hit Enter to reset your network settings—just restart your PC afterward and Chrome should open perfectly.
