Project Cars (PS5) 4K 60FPS HDR Gameplay. Project CARS (Community Assisted Racing Simulator) is a racing simulator game developed by the company Slightly Mad Studios. It was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows on May 7, 2015, and for Wii U and SteamOS later in 2015.[2] Project CARS was originally going to be developed for Microsoft Windows, Wii U, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but on November 6, 2013, Slightly Mad Studios announced that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions would be cancelled.[3] The game also went through a series of delays, moving from its November 2014 release to May 2015. The project was funded by the community and the developers themselves, without the traditional incentive of a distributor. By purchasing "packs", players were able to contribute to the development of different parts of the project.[4] Members have some benefits according to the package they have purchased, receiving a portion of the sales profit, generated in the first 2 years after launch, as a reward for their effort, to be paid quarterly.[5] Members also have access to Slightly Mad Studios' private forum, the World of Mass Development. The Wii U version was officially canceled on July 21, 2015.
