The province is the first–tier administration level in Thailand.
The Kingdom of Thailand consists of 76 provinces and one special administrative area of Bangkok.
TOP10Channel presents the Nominal GDP of Thailand's provinces in 2020| TOP 10 Channel as of 2019, based on Gross Regional and Provincial Product Chain Volume Measures 2019 Edition, According to the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC).
Data for 2019 estimates (US$ at 2019 average market exchange rate $). The population figures below are the ones estimated by NESDC for 2019.
Of the 10 provinces with the lowest per capita income, 9 are located in the North Eastern Region. In 2018 Mae Hong Son in Northern Thailand was the poorest province, but this 'honor' now goes to Narathiwat. Nong Bua Lamphu and Mukdahan are very close by.
The difference between the regions, and between the provinces in certain regions, is simply astounding.
