The view that we had from marina overlooking the entire palm with the world islands in the back.
Shot with the magic lantern RAW hack on the 5D3, so the low light turned out quite good. A little bit of exposure bumping and neat video's noise plugin used as well (video was at ISO 2500). Converted with RAWMagic and exported via Davinci Resolve Lite 10 to ProRes 422 HQ. I was able to get 6 minutes and 15 seconds of continuous RAW recording at 1920x1080 on a 64gb 1000x card, which is lucky as the fireworks themselves were 6 minutes.
The lens is the Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8 II but it seems that my lens itself is misaligned and the right side is out of focus regardless. Will have to get this serviced :(
There was no room to setup the tripod so unfortunately had to be handheld and smoothed out with core melt's lock and load plugin. It was giving me much better results than FCPX's built-in stabilizer.
Since the raw hack doesn't record sound, the fireworks SFX are just thrown in from FCPX's library.
Music is from my 2011 sessions, the track is called Swing On By.
