I built the most OP 1x1 base design in rust. It can hold a tier 3, 7 large boxes, 3 small boxes, a turret, a large battery, two sleeping bags, a fire, and has an unlootable tool cabinet. I even put an automated road farming system on top of it so the base literally farms for me.
