Hyena caught a wildebeest sleeping
Small prey is killed by being shaken in the mouth, while large prey is eaten alive. The spotted hyena tracks live prey by sight, hearing and smell. In this sighting the wildebeest was taking a nap without checking its surroundings and was caught by a hyena that was strolling by looking for victims.
