faintqt in the comments said that this could help solve a spinning camera problem in in Saints row third remastered.
A note from Evan Jackson down at the comments says that, sometimes epic game lingers at the background and so your changes doesn't work. He said that if initially it doesn't work try going to task manage (ctrl+shift+esc) and end all epic game related programs and try again. That worked for him and he was kind enough to share.
If the game you are trying to play is fortnite, there might be an option to ignore gamepad input inside the fortnite (setting then accessibility) make sure that is turned off else it wouldn't work.
There is also another method for getting fortnite to work on controller which was share by someone at the comments called Game View, he suggested this video which is worth a try because it worked for him • Fortnite | How to setup a Generic Game Con...
Another method to try which worked for Hui Loon down at the comments is to download x360ce and add your game into it, seem to have work with epic game's overcook. Not sure how that works but just something to try if all else fails.
