Longtime guitarist, keyboardist, and collaborator for Hazel English (co-writing songs such as That Thing and More Like You), LA-based Davy Era has been exploring his own sound when not on the road or in the studio with her.
His style is earnest, RnB-influenced indie pop, taking inspiration from acts such as Blood Orange, Toro y Moi, and a life-long admiration of Brian Wilson. His songs explore the intricacies of love and the creation and destruction of human connection.
Joining forces with percussionist Liam O’Neill (also Hazel English), Something Special was self-recorded in Davy’s home studio in early 2019. It’s a chill indie pop jam to help close out the summer right.
