Graduation is a ceremony associated with the graduation from an educational institution. Graduation parties are usually held in schools, colleges, higher educational institutions. The ceremony is most often divided into two parts - official and solemn. At the official part, graduates are awarded certificates or diplomas. Traditionally, at the graduation ceremony, documents on education and a school ball are presented.
Prom is a celebration that has been awaited for eleven years.
Already in September, graduates begin to think about outfits, hairstyles, discuss the details of the upcoming evening, songs and skits that will be shown to their favorite teachers.
What parts does the prom consist of - In many schools, it has become a tradition to hold the prom in two parts. The first part is official. This is a solemn event during which congratulations and wishes are heard, documents on secondary education are issued. The script for the solemn part of the prom is usually prepared by the head teacher for educational work. In each scenario, you can insert numbers of amateur performances of school students and graduates.
The second part is unofficial. These are performances of graduates in any form. During their speeches, graduates thank the school, teachers, recall the bright moments of school life. These performances are usually prepared by the graduates themselves. They can be in the form of a modest concert with a simple entertainer or a complex performance that requires long rehearsals. The task of the class teacher is to awaken the initiative of the children, help them unite, and most importantly, organize the work in such a way that all students in the class take part in it.
Once a week, during class hours, sitting at their desks, graduates should sing songs to music in order to learn words and get used to phonograms.
In parallel with the work on the songs, graduates should be introduced to the prom script. Then you can divide the class into groups of 5-6 students and entrust each group with work on skits and songs dedicated to one or two subjects, encouraging the initiative, imagination and creativity of children in every possible way.
In March - April, when each group will independently rehearse their words and movements, you can start rehearsals. Parents of graduates can be involved in such rehearsals. KVN can be taken as a model for constructing mise-en-scenes. Dynamism, good rhythm, energy, wit - these are the qualities our performance should have.
Separately, I want to say about the use of microphones. If it is assumed that the participants of the concert will use microphones, rehearsals must be carried out with microphones. But you can refuse to use them. In this case, children should be warned that they need to stand at the very edge of the stage and speak very loudly. It is also necessary to speak loudly in rehearsals.
For a whole year, parents prepare for the last school ball: they sew costumes, buy shoes; on the eve of the evening, graduates do their hair. And all this for the sake of one stellar minute, when you need to go on stage and get a certificate. You can extend this minute. And for this we need to give our graduates the opportunity to show themselves. This can be done by preparing a prelude for the prom.
As a rule, in anticipation of the holiday, all graduates gather in the school yard, where by this time there are already many spectators.
Solemn music sounds. To the sounds of a polonaise, all graduates descend the stairs and line up on the site in front of the school. After the solemn polonaise, a waltz sounds. Beautiful couples are spinning - all the graduates are dancing. Spectators admire the outfits, hairstyles, beautiful faces ... This part of the prom is best spent without words. Just music and dance.
It is desirable to involve a specialist choreographer in the preparation of dance numbers. He will professionally stage dances, teach graduates to move freely and naturally, and confidently stand in front of the public. After the performance of dance numbers, graduates are invited to enter the school. They are followed by guests, and the solemn part of the prom begins.
