Today, I'm preparing a new system build guide in collaboration with MSI for Eren, an architect working in Çanakkale. My goal for PCH Garaj 17 is to answer the question, "How does a professional architect use a system?"
Eren had previously purchased many components. He was unsure about a few, so he consulted with us, and we provided guidance.
Then, I shipped all the components to the PC Hocası office and made the necessary adjustments to the system build, performance settings, problematic Intel BIOS settings, and stabilization.

The components used in the system were as follows:
• Processor: Intel Core i7-14700K
• Graphics card: MSI RTX 4090 SUPRIM Liquid-X 24GB
• Motherboard: MSI MPG Z790 EDGE Ti MAX WiFi
• RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 (2x16) 32GB 6000MHz CL32
• Storage: MSI Spatium M570 2TB PCIe GEN5
• Liquid cooling: MSI MAG CoreLiquid E360
• Case: MSI GUNGNIR 300R AIRFlow
• Power supply: MSI MPG A1000G 1000W 80+ Gold
ABOUT THE SYSTEM DETAILS
1- When Eren decided to build a system for his architecture, he opted for an RTX 4090, but he ended up buying a liquid-cooled model. This wasn't necessary, as the SUPRIM-X series also had excellent cooling. If he had told me before I bought it, I would have definitely asked him to replace it. The radiator looks pretty bad in the case. And since it's a predominantly white system, a white graphics card would be fantastic.
2- The M2 SSD selected for the system is a GEN5, and the motherboard directly supports it. So far, there's no problem. However, the M2 SSD has a passive heatsink. It's approximately 5mm thick. Because there's a protective shield on the motherboard, you can't install both at the same time. I removed the M2 SSD heatsink because it looked bad on the motherboard. When buying an SSD, if the motherboard already has a protective shield, avoid models with additional heatsinks.
3- The Intel i7-14700K processor can easily be paired with the RTX 4090. However, since these processors run hot, settings must be made in the BIOS. If you're using the same processor and experiencing temperature issues at the time, I recommend making adjustments.
4- Besides all this, Eren uses SketchUp, VRAY, Lumion, and Rhino for architecture. They're indispensable modeling programs for many architects. This PC build has the performance to render these applications easily and quickly. However, there's something even better: programs like ETABS.
I'll never forget it. While running a demo on ETABS, we were trying to render for 7 days. Even an RTX 4090 can be insufficient for such work, which can take hours or days. For this reason, it might be necessary to upgrade to a server-series processor and Quadro-series graphics card.
I hope the system build guide I prepared for architects was helpful. If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments. I read and answer them all individually. Until we see you in the next PC build guide and gaming PC build video, goodbye.
