LAZY DLC FATIGUE
I’ve been wanting to talk about this for a while now, and with the release of Jason and the new survivor Shane Wiigwaas, this feels like the perfect time. How long is BHVR gonna keep feeding us these half-baked DLCs? Time after time, they release new chapters that barely include anything beyond a single character. And sure, I appreciate it but I’d much rather get a complete experience like we used to back in the day, where a chapter actually came with a killer, a survivor, and a unique themed map. This isn’t just a coincidence either. If you take a closer look at the DLCs from the past few years, it becomes pretty clear that this has turned into a consistent pattern. In this video, I want to break down why this approach is bad for Dead by Daylight and what could be done to fix it.

In case you randomly stumbled upon this video and you're wondering what this game even is, it's called Dead by Daylight. It's an asymmetric multiplayer horror game developed and published by BHVR Interactive. It's a 4v1game in which one player takes on the role of a killer and the other four play as survivors. The killer's goal is to hunt and impale each survivor on sacrificial hooks to appease a malevolent force known as the Entity.
