BRIGHTER is a smart high shelf filter that starts around 500Hz. At 0 the plugin is completely transparent and increasing the knob increases the gain... The curve of this boost is very smooth which makes it work in a wide variety of applications increasing the brightness pleasantly... When the knob passes 7 the gain stops increasing and then the frequency starts moving towards the highs. From 0 to 7 it boosts the presence, the clarity and the brightness. After 7 it gradually stops affecting the presence and only affects the clarity and the brightness. The last values only affect the upper clarity zone and the brightness.
PHATTER is a low shelf filter with a curve even smoother than the one we saw in BRIGHTER that affects the low and low mid zones... Differently from BRIGHTER the knob only increases gain but as we can see the fall of the curve remains unchanged once it has reached a certain value whereby the maximum values of the knob only increase the bass zone. The lower values are ideal to increase the warmth of the signal in a practically unnoticeable manner. From the middle onwards it can be useful to create thunder toms and powerful bass lines and kicks.
#FILTER is an LPF with 4 predefined values of resonance. Decreasing (yes, we know we mistakenly put "increasing" in the video) the knob decreases the cutoff frequency of the filter which cuts out the high frequencies. NONE is a common HPF. MODERATE increases the area before the cut which produces a more noticeable effect when the cut is moved. HIGH is a more aggressive version of MODERATE and EXTREME is #JoshWink.
