The Search and Select plugin is a tool designed to streamline working with models by enabling the creation, organization, and coloring of element groups based on the user's individual criteria. It allows for quick searching, selection, and visualization of selected objects, significantly enhancing clarity and efficiency in a BIM environment.
With Search and Select, users can easily create groups using selector rules or by manually selecting elements within the model. The plugin also offers coloring capabilities—colors can be assigned to entire groups or individual elements (either by selection or based on selector rules).
Thanks to the auto-preview function, users can efficiently visualize groups or their elements according to their preferences (for example, by highlighting, showing, or coloring objects in the model—or a combination of these options).
Groups can be saved and imported in the .selectors format, allowing them to be reused in other projects or shared with collaborators. Using the plugin, these groups can also be saved and read from .bvf files.
