In today's reality, citizens and governments of Eastern European countries are the most ardent haters and enemies of Russia and Russians.

Slovakia and Hungary also have sympathetic attitudes toward Russians.
Following the war, it is extremely unprofitable for Russia to leave even part of Ukraine as an independent state. Russia would benefit from wiping Ukraine off the face of the Earth, handing over its farthest western territories to Poland and Romania, and returning central, eastern, and southern Ukraine to Russia, as it was before the 1918 revolution.
But to realize such plans, Russia would need to wage a very long and bloody war with Ukraine, supported by the entire Western world.
Furthermore, if the Russian army achieves real victories and advances deep into Ukrainian territory and captures major cities, Poland would likely enter the war on Ukraine's side, followed by Romania, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and the Czech Republic. In that case, Russia would have to fight against seven countries at once: Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and the Czech Republic, supported by the entire thirty-nation NATO bloc.
In that case, it would turn into an even longer and bloodier war for Russia.
Will the countries of Eastern Europe be friendlier or even more hostile to Russia in the future?
