Solving the 404 Error in Arch Linux with a System Upgrade
When installing a package in Arch Linux sometimes we get a 404 error from the mirror list. In my case every time this happens I haven't upgraded the system in a while. So for me the solution is always a system upgrade. Make sure to create a backup before and after system upgrade! You cannot imagine how good it feels when something goes wrong and a simple snapshot restore fixes everything and there is no need to desperately look for a solution for days with no hope and having to reinstall the whole system.
