Lapua Scenar 6mm/105 Testing continued out to 900 Yds after initial Testing at 600 yards.
My personal method of testing and developing a Dope chart and to confirm B.C. for a particular bullet/load combination is to:
start at 600. Progress to 900, Progress to 1200, Progress to 1500 yds.
In this manner it also tests consistency of the load, as well as verifying first cold bore shots align with dope chart elevations since Dope chart calculations are all theoretical until tested at your particular range environment.
BIG HINT - Make certain your scope height over your bore centerline is measured correctly and DO NOT use the standard typical 1.5 inches. If scope height is inputed incorrectly into a ballistic calculator your whole dope chart Elevations will not coincide with your yardages.
