No idea how I got the framing so wrong...but enough was enough.
I have never had to make SO MANY audition videos - One Play, Two Roles, Multiple Audition Monologues - as well as drive to SF from LA to spend almost an entire day in the audition room - to secure one low paying gig. & for the privilege of finding my own housing.
I've gone to lengths to get jobs, but this one took the cake. The production also distinctively raised the bar on the lunacy quotient of working at this theatre by firing the director almost near the end of the the rehearsal process. We got some good and some very bad reviews. The audiences were, I'd say, pretty sparse.
