Guild Wars 2 2026 - Accidentally accessing the Wizards Palace
i'm so lost here and not figuring anything out very quickly ...
For the most part this area hasn't seemed very populated either; but I have been able to solo content and not do any dying so far. Working on experience so I can place mastery points for things I really feel like I need now to just get around and benefit from chest I find I cannot open. Maybe not being able to open chest is a good thing as it just puts stuff in my inventory I don't know what to do with.
Inventory space is the most downside to GW2, IMO. Like what ESO does, starves you for inventory space then sells you solutions for cash or mega-gold price which is incentive for cash instead. In GW2, having inventory space is a life long project ... lol, sort of feels that way to me anyway.
So I was just out soloing stuff, tapping Mastery points and squeezing out gradual experience so I can open more mastery talents, when I saw the mentor icon buzzing around the nearby area, which in this game means if I can politely coat tail I might learn something and get free stuff via carry. Folk in GW2 to my experience have always been very friendly so it doesn't feel rude to coat tail or it isn't reflected in a way I notice anyway. I was surprised with the number of big bad monsters I just dropped into the middle of and started smashing their toenails, that I actually lived through it all.
This video is a cut from the fight being over and clicking the portal that takes me to the palace to tour the inside a little. Actually was able to get there earlier on my dragon mount; but the doors were closed. This time they were opened, I guess due to the event success. Can't open anything in there yet; but it looks nice. Ah, well back to the trying to figure this place out. Search says I miss out if I don't do this content; but as empty as this place feels and as confusing as it seems to how I am going to earn my way through the masteries, kind of makes me just want to jump to the next expansion. Could just be I am clueless as I have never been here before and do not know this content at all, so I am going to keep at it for now.
