To black and white a photo, drag it into iPhoto, click effects and choose black and white. Drag the edited photo back onto your desktop or somewhere you can easily find it. From there, open your page in InDesign. Drag the photo onto the page and click the relative area where you want to place it. Once the photo is on, you need to add stroke. To add stroke, go to the top bar in InDesign and type "0.5" and click enter on your keyboard. This will add a thin black boarder around your photo - you will not be able to see it until you PDF your page but it needs to be there! Next, you need to text wrap the photo. Text wrap makes it so the text on the page and around the photo does not smush directly up to the picture - very important! To text wrap go to the top bar again, choose "Window" and then "Text Wrap." A small box should appear and then you can make your adjustments. Click the second option from the left (that makes the text go around the box) and then click one arrow up and you're done! Always remember to save your changes when you are done! A.R.
