The Coros Apex 4 marks a generational milestone. Released in October 2025, it replaced its predecessor, the Coros Apex 2, which was introduced three years earlier. There simply isn't a third generation of the Apex series.

Another interesting point is that the Apex 4 is the first and, so far, only Coros watch to feature a speaker, which, among other features, allows you to listen to voice prompts during workouts.

Otherwise, the new model is virtually identical to the recently released Coros Nomad. This includes a microphone with voice recording, a new MIP touchscreen display with improved readability, and an additional action button for quick access to maps.

I've been using the 46mm Coros Apex 4 for about three weeks, wearing it 24/7 and using it in my workouts. Today, I'm ready to tell you how the device actually performs in real-world use and how it differs from its predecessor and other Coros watches.
