Steps to create compute engine on GCP
1. Log in to GCP account
2. Search for Compute Engine in search option
3. Search for Compute Engine in search option
4. Select “Create Instance”
5. Give name to instance
6. Give name to instance, add labels
7. Select region where you want to create your compute engine or instance
8. Select zone
9. Select machine family or configuration which you required
10. Select boot disk, select change option, then
Select required OS by clicking on “Public Image”
Select “Custom Image” in case of you wish to use already created images, then select Boot Disk types
Select “Snapshots” to use image from snapshot and select Existing Disk if you already have created disk
11. Check mark (Allow) “HTTP” “HTTPS” in Firewall
12. Select “Networking” settings as per your requirements
13. Select “Create”
Connect compute engine:-
Select drop down option in front of “SSH”
Then click on “Open in browser window”
You can use sudo command and change root
Password
E.g. $sudo passwd root
Delete compute engine:-
Select instance which you want to delete
Then on top side click on 3 dots in front of
“CREATE INSTANCE”
Then click on “Delete”
