Sultan Begum's house or mansion is 150 to 200 years old. The history of the construction of this mansion goes back to the Qajar era in Iran. Mrs. Sultan Begum Shujaei, who was one of the relatives of Naseruddin Shah Qajar, in 1312 handed over this mansion to one of her children named Taqi Shujaei. This building, which is known as Tehran Bazaar Culture House, has an area of about 800 square meters and is currently operating under the supervision of Tehran Municipality's cultural and artistic organization.
In mentioning the importance and value of this building, IFLA, the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions, said that Sultan Begum Book Museum is on the list of 1001 libraries in the world that everyone should visit at least once before they die.
They sell the house to another person from the Niranma family in 1326, and after that, the Sultan Begum mansion is under the authority of the Niranma family.
The Niranma family made changes in the mansion in the following years, but the main parts that are considered to be part of the main features of the building remain unchanged and according to the historical features, they belong to the original design of the building.
