Two years ago, in the spring of 2021, I wanted to start my online business. I had no idea what I was doing. But I had heard blogging and affiliate marketing are great ways to build a community and earn a nice side income.
To test this I had heard that Medium is a great place to start. So I gave it a go. I started full-time right off the bat and wrote about 8 hours a day. I wrote about programming—a topic I was most familiar with/passionate about.
The results were amazing. In 3 months I was already earning close to what people earn in my country on average.
The results showed me that you don't need to have writing skills or even speak English as your native language to succeed as a blogger. Since then, I've moved from Medium to my own blog and have been building a successful online business there.
