In this course we are going to learn how make a trap beat in the style of DaBaby. DaBaby has had an incredible 2019 with the success of his song "Suge" and his wide array of features on other people's albums and singles. The beats DaBaby picks to rap on are very specific stylistically, and in this course we're going to teach you how to make a beat that sounds like something he might rap on.
Video 1 - Music
We use Nexus, and other plugins to make a simple yet catchy melody in the style of DaBaby that will be the basis for our whole beat.
Video 2 - Drums
We make a drum pattern that we will later split up into pieces to use in our full beat. We make the drum pattern to specifically sound like some of the patterns used in DaBaby's music.
Video 3 - Arranging the Beat
Finally we take all of our elements and arrange the beat into something that's ready to have a rapper rap on.
