Vladimir Sitnikov: "To Throw or to Catch: Fundamentals and Detailed Mechanics of Java Exceptions"
In this talk, we'll explore the topic of exceptions in detail, which is sure to captivate everyone, whether you're a beginner Java programmer or a seasoned CTO.
For example, even the questions "should I catch exceptions?", "should I log them?", and "should I wrap exceptions, and how?" can be challenging.
For example, what should I do with an InterruptedException?
How should a logger respond if an exception occurs while logging?

Libraries for working with exceptions include jdoctor, SneakyThrows, and I'm sure some of these ideas will be useful.
For some errors, there are special optimizations in the JIT; by understanding these, we'll be able to (not)use exceptions more confidently.
We will discuss all of this in the report, and, of course, polish it off with funny stories from practice.
