GDB SOLUTION
The way a word or letter is said or said correctly is called pronunciation. English is a spoken system based on pronunciation and the relationship between sounds, which is why we face problems with spelling. One of the things that makes English difficult to spell is that there are letters that can, but don''t always, make the same sounds, such as c and s.
Many of us get confused about the pronunciation. We generally do not focus on correct pronunciation of words. Many times it happens to me. Once I got confused about /To:m:b/. I pronounced it as B sound while its correct pronunciation is /tuːm/. I remember when I was in school my English teacher was asking us to write some dictation. She spoke us to write tomb /tuːm/, and Most of the students of my class, including me, wrote it ''toom'' as it was pronounced. At that time we were not aware of sounds and silent words pronunciation. This was my First experience when I got confused about sound and spellings of words.
Now attempting my GDB many words are flashing in my mind wgich or that confuse me at that time like: bough /baʊ/, liaison /lee:ay:zon/, Asthma /aesma/, leisure /leh·zhuh/.
