SCUM | Dev Diary: Restoring Wildlife to the Island
Free-roaming land animals are now live in SCUM!
In this Dev Diary, the team takes a closer look at the rebuilt wildlife system included in the June Into the Wild update, and how animals now move directly through the world instead of appearing through a separate hunting minigame.
From distant animals moving across the terrain to predators being drawn toward a fresh carcass, the new system is designed to make hunting feel less scripted and more connected to the world around you.
