Canva Tutorial: How to Create Stone Textured Text
Today I'm going to show you how to create a stone textured text effect in Canva. Let's get started.
Step 1. Open canva, create a new design.
Step 2. Add a stone texture background.
Go to Elements, then Photos, and search for "stone texture". Choose a stone texture image and add it to the canvas.
Step 3. Use the Font Frame app.
Go to Apps and search for "Font Frame". Open the Font Frame app. Choose a font. Type your text.
Step 4. Fill the text with the stone texture.
In the app, click "Choose Image" and select the stone texture image you added. Then click "Use Selected Image". This fills the text with the stone texture.
Step 5. Remove the outline.
Scroll down in the app to Outline and set the slider to zero to remove the outline. Click "Add to Design".
Step 6. Set the stone texture as background.
Right-click on the stone texture on the canvas and select "Set Image as Background".
Step 7. Enlarge the text and add a drop shadow.
Select the text, resize it, and center it on the canvas. Go to Edit, then Shadows, and click Drop Shadow. Adjust the intensity, angle, and distance as desired.
Step 8. Duplicate the text for a second shadow.
Duplicate the text layer. Select the duplicate, go to Edit and Shadows, change the shadow color to white, and adjust the angle to the opposite side. Reduce the distance.
Step 9. Layer the two text shadows.
Position the white shadow text on top of the black shadow text so they overlap perfectly.
Step 10. Darken the background (optional).
Select the background image, go to Edit, then Adjust, and lower the Brightness to make the text stand out more.
Step 11. Export your design.
Click Share, then Download, and save as a PNG file.
